Farnsfield continued their rise into mid-table with an edge-of-the-seat one-wicket victory at Hucknall, claiming the Notts Premier League win with two balls to spare. The win took Farnsfield, who saw solid contributions right down the order in the run-chase, to seventh place. The home side had chosen to bat and were finally dismissed off the penultimate ball for 229. Joseph Worrall and Liam Patterson-White both took three wickets — for 56 and 59 respectively. In reply, Patterson-White top-scored with 65 in the middle-order. hitting 11 boundaries. Coming in at 89 for three, he shared a 47-run stand with George Hadfield for the fifth wicket and one of 36 for the sixth wicket with Matthew Roberts. Earlier Solomon Budinger (33) and Callum McKenzie (30) put on 40 for the third wicket. There were five other double figure scores as the last-wicket pair — Charles Wilson (14 not out) and Joseph Worrall (0) — knocked off the six runs needed for the win. Mansfield Hosiery Mills compiled a terrific 267 for nine, but it was not enough as the other side in the bottom two, Attenborough, reached the target for the loss of four wickets. The Millers chose to bat first and were boosted by a second-wicket stand of 142 by Savin Perera (52) and Anuk Fernando, who hit a fine century. He smashed 10 fours and eight sixes in his run-a-ball knock.
