KATE Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins apologised for embarrassing their children today as they learnt the “Floss Dance” on Good Morning Britain.
For those of you who don’t have young kids, the dance teaches them how to effectively floss their teeth by swinging their hips and arms.
The movements have been popular for a while now, but went viral again this weekend when a primary school teacher in Tottington named Simon Hunt videoed himself teaching his kids the move.
Kate said: “My children are flossing constantly and I was delighted initially as I thought they were finally taking dental hygiene seriously.”
As Iain Lee described it as “a dance like you’re drying yourself with a towel.”
Deciding that they would show the viewers, Charlotte warned that she and Kate managed to “kill” the last viral dance trend, dabbing.
The presenter said: “We put the end to the dab, because as soon as we did that on the programme it basically killed it for everybody.”
With that the pair got up and showed off their best Flossing, by swinging their hips and arms for the camera quickly sitting back down.
A flustered Kate said: “There was a lot more movement than I intended there… My children are now so embarrassed.”
And Charlotte added: “They’re hiding behind their hands, so apologies for that.”
Meanwhile Iain Lee looked like her was struggling with the movements after having to do his Showbiz slot on the show in a neck brace due to falling down a well.
Earlier he appeared pained, with Kate observing: “You actually look a bit pale, Iain.”
He replied: “Yes, I’ve been down a well!”
Kate then asked: “How did you get out?” to which Iain admitted “The fire brigade came along…”

A small wooden well was brought onto the set and placed by Iain who said: “Why are you putting it so close to me? It’s traumatic!”
