Each year, 450 women are selected to attend for their work and contribution to society.
This year’s lunch is being held at the Intercontinental Hotel on Park Lane in central London.
The Duchess has been praised in the past for her commitment to women’s causes including domestic abuse and rape survivors’ charities.
She is a patron of the Girls Friendly Society, which was established in 1875 and is one of the oldest registered charities working to support girls and young women in England and Wales. It helps young girls develop their confidence and self-esteem.
She is also patron of the annual Women of the World Festival, which is a UK-based festival that celebrates the achievements of women and girls as well as looking at the obstacles they face across the world.
It seeks to inspire new generations of young women and girls.
Later today the Duchess will visit the Royal Academy of Arts to launch the RA250 Friends Membership scheme.
The scheme is being launched ahead of the Academy’s 250th birthday celebrations in 2018.
