Terminator Genisys Honest Trailer
This week, Screen Junkies ‘ Honest Trailers crew breaks down the summer flop Terminator Genisys , which gleefully skewers how this sequel “ruins” the only good movies in the franchise, recycles numerous lines of dialogue and much more. Despite its box office failure domestically, we reported last month that Paramount is still moving forward with its planned sequels, so, at the very least, we have more Honest Trailers from this franchise to look forward to…
Real Star Wars Lightsaber Duel
During the Fencing Senior World Championships in Moscow, two world-class fencers decided to give the fans a show by putting on a real Star Wars lightsaber duel. This two-minute video from School of Saberfighting is incredibly impressive, and the fencers even dressed the part as well, with Jedi and Sith-like attire to go along with their glowing lightsabers. We’ll have to wait and see if this type of skill is put on display when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters next month.
Batman Beyond Voice Actors Recreate Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back
During Rhode Island Comic Con, TheGeekGenTV filmed a panel where Batman Beyond voice actors Kevin Conroy (Bruce Wayne) and Will Friedle (Terry McGinnis) were asked to read a scene from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back , between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, as Bruce and Terry. The results are rather hilarious, and hopefully some day, we’ll get an animated version of this exchange as well.
Fictional Movie Estates Infographic
Have you ever wanted to learn more about some of your favorite fictional movie estates and homes? Then Morph Suits has you covered with a handy infographic that offers a slew of information on Wayne Manor, Stark Tower, the volcano lair in Spectre and even the Death Star , which isn’t exactly a “home” or estate, per se. Regardless, the Morph Suits team has put together some interesting details on these homes you’d love to live in, if they were real.
10 Most Influential Directors of All Time
Cinefix has a new 10-minute video where they break down the 10 most influential directors of all time, i.e., the filmmakers that others have “stolen” from the most from. Beloved directors such as Steven Spielberg , Akira Kurosawa and Orson Welles make the list, which breaks down the primary reasons why these filmmakers have influenced their peers.
Back to the Future Part II Gets a “Real” 2015 Edit
Last month, fans celebrated the 30th Anniversary of Back to The Future , since October 21, 2015 is the date that Marty and Doc traveled back to in Back to the Future Part 2 . While the 1989 sequel did predict quite a few things that we actually have today, they couldn’t get everything right. Pistol Shrimps has put together a brief but entertaining video that shows us what it would be like if Marty traveled to the real 2015.
Movies Hidden in Popular TV Shows
Screen Rant has an informative breakdown on 10 popular TV shows that hid subtle (or not so subtle) references to popular movies. For instance, Reservoir Dogs ‘ influence can be seen in AMC’s beloved series Breaking Bad , while Game of Thrones dropped a subtle reference to Monty Python and The Holy Grail last season that you may have missed.
